Talking Stanford Pines Plush (Fordzilla)

Description

So this is it... my first plush I made with my sewing machine. I actually finished this dude a few weeks ago, but I'm really slow at uploading pictures because I'm bad at everything. I wanted to get more photos of him, but, uhm, my room mate and I are constantly shifting our stuff around due to finding junk to sell and I live in a small studio, so... I just... didn't... lol.

Anyway. He's made out of minky, except for the sweater, which is made from some weird junky fabric I got from Joann's. I got it because it had some cool sweater-like texture on it, but it's absolute garbage and I regret buying it. Seriously, you look at Ford wrong and it pops a hole. I hate that fabric. Anyway. He stands 27in tall, which is hilarious because I was aiming for around 20in. I have no idea how I got so far off, except that I'm really bad at measuring, or guessing how big I needed to make the embroidery for the face to get the size right. WOOPS. That's what happens when you're a nublet I guess.

The one thing I'm 100% going to fix is his glasses. I don't really like how they turned out, and KetikaCraft gave me some good ideas of what I could do to make them look better, though I'm still not sure what to do about the lense material. Right now his glasses are made out of tape. lol.

His arms have wire in them, and his legs are weighted down with like 100000000 poly pellets. I went totally overboard with them and I think he's probably way too heavy. I'll definitely be cutting down the number of pellets I put in future dolls. :'D

As for the talking... the only clip I have of it is this video on my twitter: twitter.com/ajlareneg/status/7… and unfortunately it's the only one I can get for a little while, you see, he shorted out due to the enemy of all electronics: STATIC ELECTRICITY! I put a raw electronic board in his giant head, and one day I had him in my lap while wearing a super fuzzy fleecey sweater. The next day he was forever mute. Uh huh. I have two more raw circuits I can practice with making them ~STATIC PROOF~, but I am also in the process of ordering a metric boatload of talky boxies that won't explode due to a small shock that should be.... better. Until then, Mr. Stanford Pines here is gonna be silent. I obviously still have all his files and can (and will) change out his broken sound board when I work out a fix, but it's kind of on the back burner for now, since I've got a LOT to do right now that takes priority over fixing him.

So he will just sit silently and judge me while I sew other things for now. :b
